Questions about the flu shot

How do I know whether I belong to the target group that is eligible for the flu shot?

Everyone who is eligible for the flu shot will receive an invitation from their GP. Are you unsure whether you belong to this group? On RIVM.nl you can find out who the flu shot is for. If you belong to one of these groups, you can also get a corona vaccination.

During previous rounds I was in the flu shot group, but not anymore. Can I still get a corona vaccination?

If you belong to one of the other target groups, you can get the corona vaccination. It is also possible for housemates and caregivers of vulnerable people to get the corona vaccination.

Can I get the corona vaccination at the same time as the flu shot?

You can also get the flu shot and the corona vaccination at the same time or in close succession without any problems. The GGD gives the corona vaccination, the GP gives the flu shot. In practice, it will therefore often not be possible to receive the vaccinations at the same time. If that is possible, there is no objection to receiving the vaccinations at the same time.

I am a family member, relative or informal caregiver of someone who is receiving the flu shot. Can I also get a vaccination?

In addition to the target groups mentioned, healthcare workers/informal caregivers who have direct contact with people with vulnerable health or if you have a vulnerable family member can also make an appointment for the corona vaccination. Even if you are younger than 60 years old. In this case, you can make an appointment for a corona vaccination yourself.
