What is the current advice?
Some people can become very ill from respiratory infections caused, for example, by the flu virus, corona or the RS virus. With corona and flu, people with vulnerable health and/or the elderly are particularly at risk of becoming (very) ill. But sometimes people without vulnerable health also have complaints for a long time after an infection (for example post-COVID).
It therefore remains important to follow the advice for preventing respiratory infections. For the protection of people with vulnerable health and for yourself.
Do you have complaints that are consistent with respiratory infections, such as coughing, sneezing, sore throat and a runny nose?
Stay at home when you are sick
In case of minor complaints, consult with your employer whether you can work from home.
Avoid physical contact with people who can become seriously ill from a respiratory infection if you have symptoms yourself. Wear a mouth and nose mask if physical contact is necessary (such as for informal care).
Cough and sneeze into your elbow. Wash your hands often and well, even if you have no complaints
Ensure enough ventilation of indoor spaces
On March 10, 2023, the advices were changed. This means:
No more (self)tests when having corona related symptoms
No more 5 days of isolation with a positive corona (self) test result.
